Peer Reviewer Process
All manuscripts submitted to Mutekeshum: Multidisiplin, Teknik, Kesehatan dan Humaniora undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, scientific contribution, and relevance of the published articles. In the double-blind review process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review.
The review process consists of the following stages:
- Initial Editorial Screening
The Editorial Office evaluates each submitted manuscript to ensure that it complies with the journal's focus and scope, manuscript preparation guidelines, publication ethics, and plagiarism policy. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected before peer review. - Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or other reliable similarity-checking tools. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%, excluding references, properly quoted text, and standard methodological expressions. - Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript's subject area. Reviewers evaluate the originality, methodology, significance, clarity, validity of results, ethical compliance, and overall scientific quality of the manuscript. - Reviewers' Recommendations
Based on the reviewers' evaluations, one of the following editorial decisions may be made:- Accept without revision.
- Accept with minor revisions.
- Reconsider after major revisions.
- Reject.
- Author Revision
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers' and editors' comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the reviewers for further evaluation when necessary. - Final Editorial Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision based on the reviewers' recommendations, the quality of the revised manuscript, and the journal's editorial standards. - Copyediting and Publication
Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, proofreading, layout editing, and final author approval before publication in the journal.
The editorial team is committed to conducting the peer-review process fairly, objectively, confidentially, and promptly. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive feedback that supports authors in improving the quality of their manuscripts while maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics.
