Publication Ethics
Mutekeshum: Multidisiplin, Teknik, Kesehatan dan Humaniora is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the ethical principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal expects all parties involved in the publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—to uphold integrity, transparency, fairness, and professionalism throughout the editorial process.
Responsibilities of Authors
Authors are responsible for submitting original and unpublished manuscripts that are not under consideration by another journal. All sources of information must be appropriately acknowledged through proper citation and referencing. Authors must ensure that the reported data are accurate and presented honestly without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation. Any conflicts of interest that could influence the research or its interpretation must be disclosed. Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant intellectual contributions to the study.
Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for evaluating submitted manuscripts solely on the basis of their academic quality, originality, significance, and relevance to the journal's scope. Editorial decisions must be made fairly without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, religion, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs. Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts, avoid conflicts of interest, and ensure that the peer-review process is conducted objectively and transparently.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers assist editors by providing objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of manuscripts. All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited and notify the editor of any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical misconduct. Reviewers must decline to review manuscripts in cases where conflicts of interest may affect their impartiality.
Responsibilities of the Publisher
The publisher supports the editorial team in maintaining academic integrity and ethical publishing practices. The publisher is committed to preserving editorial independence and preventing publication misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, and other forms of unethical behavior.
Research Integrity
The journal expects all research to be conducted responsibly and reported accurately. Fabrication, falsification, manipulation of research data, misleading interpretation of results, and unethical research practices are considered serious violations of publication ethics and may result in rejection, correction, or retraction of the published article.
Plagiarism Policy
Every submitted manuscript is screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or other reliable similarity-checking tools before entering the peer-review process. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%, excluding references, properly quoted material, and standard methodological expressions. Manuscripts containing plagiarism, excessive similarity, or self-plagiarism without proper citation will be rejected or returned to the authors for revision.
Conflict of Interest
Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial, institutional, professional, or personal relationships that could influence the review, editorial decision, or publication of a manuscript. Any potential conflicts of interest must be managed transparently to preserve the integrity of the publication process.
Ethical Considerations
Research involving human participants, animals, personal data, or other sensitive materials must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional regulations. Where required, authors must provide evidence of ethical approval from the appropriate ethics committee and confirm that informed consent has been obtained from research participants.
Corrections and Retractions
If significant errors, ethical violations, or research misconduct are identified before or after publication, the journal will take appropriate action, including issuing corrections, expressions of concern, or article retractions in accordance with internationally recognized publishing ethics guidelines.
By submitting a manuscript to Mutekeshum: Multidisiplin, Teknik, Kesehatan dan Humaniora, authors agree to comply with these ethical standards and cooperate fully with the editorial process to ensure the publication of high-quality, credible, and ethical scholarly work.
